"I wanted to take my [smoked meat and barbeque] business to the next level and expand, enabling my company to spread nation-wide. However, I did not have the resources to do this on my own. This is why I have recently became a client of the Synergy program.

I am, at this stage in achieving my goal of a grant, absolutely pleased with my coach. First and foremost, my coach has been friendly and humorous. I know from experience that it is difficult to deal with people who are stuffy or arrogant. I have been able to talk with him not only about the grant process, but just common life events that are going on day to day. This is a great way to become comfortable with a person that you have never met before and also are able to get a feel for what type of person they are.

Secondly, after my coach learned in detail about my business and my goals he has shown genuine interest in what I am doing. He asked me numerous questions and replied to my information with enthusiasm. This shows me, as a client of a firm that assigns someone randomly to a client, that this coach can have a personal interest in a project rather than going through the motions because it's their job. This builds confidence in me, as a client, because I know that he is going to do the best job and get me in the right direction in the quickest time possible. I feel from our interaction thus far that he would like to see my business succeed on a more personal level. This also is a great reflection on Synergy for having people like my coach working for them.

Finally, I would like to say that I have no trouble keeping in contact with my coach. I have not called and left countless messages or had to wait for days to get a reply. Refreshingly, he is the one who usually contacts me first. And if I do leave a message, he responds in a very respectable time. In closing, I am pleased with the contribution my coach has put forth and I am looking forward to the completion of this project. If I decide to apply for another grant in the future I will be keeping Synergy at the top of my list. Not only has my coach been great, but everyone at the program has been extremely friendly and willing to help with any problems or questions in anyway possible.

I recommend to anyone seeking a grant to consider the Synergy Program because for the amount of money that you will spend is worth the knowledge, direction, the amount of time you will spend trying to acquire a grant on your own, and most importantly the probability of receiving a grant in a significantly reduced time period.
